Privacy Policy

Gen Timer is built to work without accounts and without collecting personal information. This policy explains what little data the app handles and why.

Data stored on your device

Your timers, stopwatch history, settings (theme, sounds) and preferences are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers and are deleted when you delete the app.

AI timer creation

When you create a timer by describing it, the text of your description is sent to our server and forwarded to OpenAI to generate the timer structure and artwork. Descriptions are processed to fulfil your request and are not used to identify you. Do not include personal information in timer descriptions.

Anonymous device identifier

The app generates a random identifier (not linked to you, your Apple ID or Google account) used solely to apply fair-use rate limits on AI features.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, which handles purchase validation on our behalf. We never see your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

What we don't do

• No accounts, no email collection, no tracking across apps.
• No ads and no sale of data to third parties.
• No analytics SDKs that profile you.

Notifications

Timer alerts use local notifications scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent to a server to deliver them.

Children

Gen Timer is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
